Abstract
PURPOSE:To continuously mix a large amount of powdery or granular substances with a simple apparatus by allowing powdery or granular substances which have been piled on and conveyed by a belt conveyor to fall from the outlet end of the belt conveyor, whereby a mixer placed in a position lower than the outlet by a predetermined level difference rotates and rod-shaped vanes in the mixer strike against the powdery or granular substances. CONSTITUTION:The outlet end of a belt conveyor 1 is related to the inlet end of the next belt conveyor 1 placed at a lower level. Then, powdery or granular substances 4 which have been so piled on the belt conveyor 1 as to form layers and conveyed in the direction indicated by an arrow are allowed to fall from the outlet end. Upon the falling, a mixer 5 placed in a position lower than the first belt conveyor 1 by a predetermined level difference H is rotated by the energy of the falling substances 4, and a rod-shaped lattice vane 8 of the mixer 5 strikes against the powdery or granular substances 4 having large and small particle diameters, whereby the substances are mixed and discharged as a material 6. In this method, the various kinds of powdery or granular substances 4 are conveyed, as a pretreatment, in the form of a sandwich with a layer of a submaterial 3 being superposed between layers of a main material 2. Thus, powdery or granular substances such as construction materials can be continuously mixed with the simple apparatus.
