CONSTITUTION:When a brake pedal 2 is depressed, a microcomputer 11 detects the fact that the pedal 2 is depressed by a detection signal from a brake operating amount sensor 6 to set a braking mode. Then, it calculates a command braking force based on the depressed amount of the pedal 2 on the basis of the detection signal from the sensor 6 at that time. Further, the microcomputer 11 obtains a mechanical braking force in response to the difference between the regenerative braking force and the command braking force, and outputs a drive control signal for duty-controlling a solenoid control valve 5 to bear the obtained braking force by a drum brake 3.
