Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent output variation and variations in response speed and sensitivity due to effect of temperature of the atmosphere, by adding a temperature self-controllable heating element. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 1a are provided on both sides of the surface of a sintered Al2O3 substrate 3 and a SF6 cracked gas sensitive film 2 is provided to connect the two electrodes 1a. A heating element 4 is provided on the back side of the substrate 3 sandwiching the both sides thereof with an electrode 1c. The heating element 4 is a temperature self-controllable heating element made up of material such as BaTiO3, having a switching function utilizing a Curie point and when connected to an external constant voltage power source (not illustrated) through a lead 19a and the electrode 1c, the element is maintained at a constant temperature. This enables the heating of the SF6 cracked gas sensor at a constant temperature, thereby stabilizing sensitivity and response speed while obtaining a stable output.
