Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the service function of a telephone set by providing a converting circuit and a separating and synthesis circuit of telephone set control function information for both a telephone set and a data terminal set to a line connector connected to a subscriber line. CONSTITUTION:A control information synthesis/separation circuit 14 sends telephone set control information from the information sent from a telephone set connection information circuit 11 and a data terminal connection circuit 12 in the unified form of the telephone set control information to a controller 36 of an exchange 30 with the assistance of a telephone set control information conversion circuit 15, the telephone set control information is extracted from the control information received from the controller 36, the telephone control information conversion circuit 15 is retrieved and the control information is separated respectively to a multifunction telephone set 21 and the data terminal set 22 and the result is sent respectively fo the telephone set connection circuit 11 and the data terminal connection circuit 12. The telephone set control information conversion circuit 15 converts the prescribed button operation information from, e.g., the data terminal set 22 as a call from the telephone set 21, and the character display information received from the exchange 30 is distinguished for the sending direction to the multi-function telephone set 21 and the data terminal set 22 with respect to prescribed character capacity and character information.
