Abstract

PURPOSE:To economically utilize a satellite channel by allowing a satellite line control station to manage a satellite channel unitary and using a control sequence equivalent to that of the inter-station common line signal system as a control protocol with the exchange. CONSTITUTION:The communication between exchanges 2a and 2b is realized through the control of the satellite line controller 1 by connecting the satellite line 6 and specific communication lines 5a, 5b in earth stations 3a, 3b. Thus, common lines 7a, 7b are between the satellite line control station 1 and the exchanges 2a, 2b and control lines 8a, 8b are required between the satellite line control station 1 and the earth stations 3a, 3b. Then the assignment satellite communication allocating the satellite line at every call is realized between the exchanges. Moreover, since the control sequence between the exchanges 2a, 2b and the satellite channel control station 1 is the same as a conventional inter-station common line signal system, the application of the titled system to the satellite channel is attained without adding the function of the exchanges by using the identical signal format.
