Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent residual oil from leaking, by covering a riser pipe upstanding from the sea bottom with a protecting pipe, and by charging inert gas between the protecting pipe and the riser pipe. CONSTITUTION:Crude oil flows through a sea berth riser pipe 11 by way of a feed valve 14, and is fed from the sea bottom part 13 into an onland tank through an onland riser pipe 12. The sea berth riser pipe 11 is covered with a protecting pipe 16, and nitrogen gas fed from a nitrogen gas bomb 17 is charged between the protecting pipe 16 and the riser pipe 11. Accordingly, even though any of the riser pipes 11 12 is broken, nitrogen gas may prevent leakage of residual oil.
