Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent development of solidified phenomenon of molten metal between belts and outside wall of a nozzle and nozzle clogging phenomenon by arranging a refractory in gap between mold pouring metal surface at space between one pair of belts and a tundish. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal in a ladle 20 is introduced to a tundish nozzles 12, 12' through a tundish 13 and flowed out on surface of inclined plates 11, 11' from a notching part 12a, 12a' at lower end of the nozzles 12, 12'. This molten metal flowed out is flowed out is flowed against the refractory plate 10 on the inclined plates 11, 11' while spreading the molten metal to layer-state toward width direction of a slab on the inclined plates 11, 11'. After being brought into contact with the refractory plate 10, the molten metal is dropped along both surface thereof and introduced to the pouring surface. The flow of the molten metal along both surface of the refractory plate 10 becomes laminar flow, and uniform pouring of the molten metal is executed to the width direction of the pouring surface 8. Further, as the refractory surface 10 is submerged into the pouring surface 8 at some depth, the casting preventing spattering of the molten metal is executed.
