PURPOSE:To enhance recording capacity and durability, by together using a fluorine-containing polymer as a polymer used in combination with an org. dye. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer is composed of a mixture consisting of an org. dye having the max. absorption in a wavelength region of 750-900nm and a fluorine-containing polymer on a base. As the fluorine-containing polymer, one containing 10-60atom.% of fluorine is pref. used and, as the org. dye, a polymethine dye is pref. used. By this method, initial capacity and durability can be made excellent.
