Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a simple device manufacturable and salable at a relatively low price by providing a means for detecting the moving speed of a shaft from a vertical position to a driving position and a means for detecting the twisting motion of the shaft. CONSTITUTION: A simulated ball 12 is mounted on a flexible shaft 26, and the shaft is set substantially vertically in the moving position of the ball 12. When the ball is moved from a club to a pad 25 by an impact, it acts so as to draw a magnet 31 from a coil 32, and a voltage pulse depending on the moving speed of the ball is generated. A sensor pad 25C is arranged so as to coincide with the forward movement of the ball 12, pads 25A, 25B are situated on one side of the central pad 25C, and remaining pads 25D, 25E on the opposite side. The hook or slice added to the ball by the drive from the club acts so as to twist the shaft 26, and the ball is moved to one pad on either one side of the middle pad 25C according to its degree. Thus, each of the pads 25A to 25E acts as a switch for detecting the impact from the ball.
