Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent contamination from leakage by providing outside of the sealing part of a component with a leakage-receiving chamber and with a monitoring means to detect the leakage within the leakage-receiving chamber and to generate output thereof. CONSTITUTION: The leakage from a pump 2 having a rotating shaft 10 is received in a leakage-receiving chamber 18 by way of a pipeline 17. Within the leakage-receiving chamber 18, a monitoring element 19 is arranged and outputs a leakage signal to optical or acoustic display element 21 connected by way of a signal line corresponding to the leakage. Accordingly, notifying an operator of leakage can be made possible and as there is no fear for a fluid to leak externally, contamination to the surroundings can be prevented.
