Abstract
PURPOSE:To prepare a liquor (wine) for a bath additive, by using peel or squeezed residue of citrus fruit as a raw material and subjecting the material to enzymatic decomposition treatment and alcoholic fermentation. CONSTITUTION:Peel or squeezed residue of citrus fruit is crushed in the presence of about two times amount of water and heat-treated at 80-100 deg.C to leach the components of the citrus. To improve the extraction yield of the components, the liquid is added with a decomposition enzyme for pectin and cellulose, etc., and decomposed at 30-45 deg.C. The obtained extract liquid is properly concentrated by heating and subjected to alcoholic fermentation to obtain the objective liquor. A bath giving refreshing feeling by the citrus flavor, alcohol, aroma of citrus wind developed by acid, etc., can be produced by using the obtained liquor as a bath additive. The component of citrus peel prevents the chill after the bath and the alcohol is effective in accelerating the extraction of a drug active component to improve blood flow and in promoting the drug action.
