Abstract

PURPOSE:To heat and cook a food uniformly and nicely, by a method wherein a heating chamber is provided with an upper heater at the upper part, a non-metallic coating layer on the inside of the bottom surface and a lower heater on the outside of the bottom surface thereof, while the temperature of the upper heater is made higher than the surface temperature of the non-metallic coating layer upon heating. CONSTITUTION:An upper heater 24 is provided at the upper part of a heating chamber 21 and a non-metallic coating layer 26, such as ceramics coating or the like which is provided with high resistance to heat, is formed on the inside of a bottom surface 25 while a lower heater 27 is provided on the outside of the bottom surface 25. The heating wire 23 of the upper heater 24 is heated to the degree of temperature of about 1,000 deg.C, therefore, red visible rays are emitted from the heating wire 23 and heat having the wavelength of the degree of 0.5-3mum is radiated from the same. The heating wire 30 of the lower heater 27 is energized so that the surface temperature of a heat radiating surface or the non-metallic coating layer 26 is heated to a temperature of the degree of 500-600 deg.C, which is lower than the temperature of the upper heater, therefore, it radiates heat, having a wave length of the degree of 2mum and containing seldom visible rays. A food 34 is heated by the heat of both of the upper heater 24 and the lower heater 27 while projecting heat rays having wave length, within the range of high infrared rays absorbing coefficient and most easily absorbable in accordance with the food, selectively, therefore, heating efficiency may be increased.
