Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily produce a fluidity improver having moderate positive chargeability by using positively chageable hydrophilic silica-based fine powder obtd. by treating silica-based fine powder with a mixture of specified two kinds of silanes or cohydrolyzate of the silanes. CONSTITUTION:Positively chargeable hydrophobic silica-based fine powder obtd. by treating silica-based fine powder with a mixture of silanes represented by formulae I, II or a cohydrolyzate of the silanes is used as a fluidity improver. In formula I, R is 1-10C alkyl or phenyl, R<1> is H, 1-10C alkyl or phenyl, R<2> is 1-6C alkylene, R<3> is 1-10C alkyl or phenyl, R<4> is 1-4C alkyl, n=1 or 2, and when R<1> is H, the total number of C atoms in R and R<2> is >=5. In formula II, R<4> is 1-4C alkyl and R<5> is 1-10C alkyl or phenyl.
