Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the adjustment of the control of feed water by providing a means to calculate the number of revolutions of a boiler feed pump turbine which enables the correction of a pressure to keep a flow rate constant against changes in the outlet pressure of a boiler feed pump. CONSTITUTION: A signal to a controller for a boiler feed pump turbine from a boiler controller is used as feed water signal (flow rate command signal) and hence, the controller of the boiler feed water pump turbine is provided with a feed water signal-number of revolutions signal converter. A feedback loop to a proportional-plus-integral controller of the boiler controller is provided with a number of revolution signal-feed water signal converter. The feed water signal-number of revolutions signal converter inputs an inlet pressure of a boiler feed water pump in the computation of a conversion process to consider a change in the feed water pressure and the necessary number of revolutions is calculated based on a pump Q-H characteristic. Thus, when the pressure of a boiler changes, the correction of the pressure is accomplished in the controller for the boiler feed water pump turbine hereby keeping the flow rate constant.
