Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the title material for a group IIIA element-Ba-Cu-O type superconducting ceramic having high superconductivity which has been transformed sufficiently from tetragonal system to rhombic system by treating the material under a specified temp. condition during a cooling stage in its sintering treatment. CONSTITUTION:The temp. of a material for a group IIIA element (e.g. Y)-Ba-Cu- O type superconducting ceramic is elevated 1 at 150+ or -50 deg.C/hr rate. The material is sintered 2 while keeping at 950+ or -30 deg.C sintering temp. for 2-4hr. Thereafter, it is cooled in the first stage 3 at 150+ or -50 deg.C/hr cooling rate, and held at 540+ or -30 deg.C for 2-20hr when it is cooled to the temp., to execute annealing 4. Then, the product is cooled in the second stage 5 to room temp. at 150+ or -50 deg.C/hr cooling rate.
