DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Technical background) The present invention is a method for backwashing a filter material used in a filtration device for filtering various liquids, in which the pressure of the stock solution is applied to the permeated liquid through a stretchable or flexible material. The present invention relates to a filtration device characterized by backwashing by transmitting water to the side.

Filtration technology is used in a wide range of fields, from general filtration using filter paper or filter cloth to ultrafiltration using semipermeable membranes and reverse osmosis, but all of them lose their liquid content after a certain period of use. The filtration ability decreases due to suspended matter in the filter or precipitates from the liquid. This has become the biggest problem in filtration technology, and various methods such as those described below have been taken as countermeasures.

(Prior art and its disadvantages) In all of the above filtration technologies, the filtration material used is eventually replaced, but before replacing it, some kind of permeation performance recovery method is usually taken. is common.

For example, a backwash method in which the permeate is pressurized with a pump and flows back through the filter material, a chemical washing method in which the filtrate deposited on the filtration material is dissolved with a chemical, and a scraping method or scrubbing method in which the filtrate is mechanically removed. The law is well known.

In the conventional backwashing method, in addition to the stock solution pressure pump, another pressure pump is installed on the permeate side to flow the permeate or a separately prepared cleaning solution back through the filter material from the permeate side to the stock solution side. This method is common.

However, this method of backwashing by separately installing a pressurizing pump is not preferable because the equipment is complicated and the equipment cost increases. In addition, with this method, microbial contamination on the permeate side is unavoidable,
It may not be possible to adopt it depending on the purpose.

The key point of the present invention is that the flexible member 6-6 separates the raw liquid line and the permeated liquid line, so that the deformation of the flexible member 6-6 (Fig. The volume of the permeated liquid corresponding to the amount by which the dotted line part 6 deforms from a downward convex shape to an upward convex shape flows back through the filter material 4-4 to the stock solution side, and a backwashing effect is activated. The advantage is that the pressure on the raw solution side can be used as a driving force to cause the permeate to flow backwards.

A concern in the present invention is that the volume corresponding to the deformation of a flexible member such as a diaphragm cannot be made very large, that is, the amount of backwashing per time is small. However, this problem can be solved by increasing the frequency of backwashing between normal operations, and experience has shown that even if the amount of backwashing is small, the cleaning effect is greater if it is performed frequently. Since this has been confirmed, there is no problem in practical use.

FIG. 2 shows the opening/closing pattern of each valve in the flow sheet of the apparatus shown in FIG. 1, and the time cycle for switching between normal operation and backwash operation differs depending on the liquid to be treated. The shaded area in Figure 2 indicates that each valve is in the open state,
It is shown that only valve 8-8 has a larger opening degree during backwashing than during normal operation.
