Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a gyro of high performance and high productivity, by a method wherein an error torque generated by a mechanical cause is compensated by generating electrically a reverse torque thereto. CONSTITUTION:A stator coil 24 for compensating orthogonality uses a ring magnet 20 as a permanent magnet for forming a magnetic field, and it is provided in a stator coil of an air-core stator 16 of an X torquer 16, in connection thereto. Since the coil 24 is set at the same position with one of paired air-core coils 18a of a Y torquer 18, the electric circuit thus formed has a circuit construction wherein the coil 24 is connected in parallel with an electric resistance R0 in the circuit of the stator 16a. According to this constitution, current flowing through the stator 16a can be made to flow to the coil 24 and a torque for compensating an error torque caused by the Y torquer 18 can be generated by a torquer for compensating orthogonality. Therefore, no current occurs in the stator 18a. Accordingly, the title gyro can be attained without complicating the structure.
