Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve high-speed responsiveness and safety by installing a throttle valve with a tubular passage and a second throttle valve opening or closing the tubular passage, controlling a suction air quantity with a relative turning angle of both these throttle valves and, when an actuator gets out of order, resetting the throttle valve on one side to the setting position. CONSTITUTION:A first throttle valve 2 having a tubular shaft part 2a and a tubular passage 3 in an air suction pipe 1 is pivotally supported, and a second throttle valve 4, opening or closing the tubular passage 3, is pivotally supported on the same axis of this throttle valve 2. A valve stem 5 of the second throttle valve 4 is pierced through the first throttle valve 2 and pivotally supported on the air suction pipe 1, and an accelerator wire 8 is stretched across a groove of a segment type disk 7 fixed to the one end, while it is energized in the closing direction by a reset spring 10. And, at an end of the tubular shaft part 2a, there is provided with a gear 2b, and it is engaged with a gear 14 installed in a turning shaft 13 of an electric control actuator 15. This actuator 15 is controlled in accordance with a target relative turning angle between both throttle valves 2 and 4 calculated according to a vehicle driving state.
