Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize an integrated circuit for separate use by installing the following: a common bus; two or more input/output circuits and two or more functional elements connected to this bus; two or more switches to disconnect these from the bus; a control circuit to control these switches. CONSTITUTION:Bus external terminals 18 and 19 and terminals 15, 16 and 17 of individual functional elements 2, 3 and 4 are connected to a test device; switches 6-10 are set to a first state (an ON state) by using individual control terminals 14 of a control circuit 11 ; a test can be executed. If only the functional element 2 does not function during the test, the switch 7 is set to a second state (an OFF state) by using the control terminals 14; as a result, an integrated circuit which contains the functional elements 3, 4 and input/output circuits 12, 13 is realized. In the same manner, if the two functional elements 3, 4 are defective, the switches 8, 9 are set to the second state; as a result, another integrated circuit which contains the input/output circuits 12 and 13 and the functioning functional element 2 is realized.
