Abstract
PURPOSE:To distribute the air flow to the whole of a room and equalize the temperature in the room by blowing the air laterally during room cooling with a damper positioned horizontally and blowing the air obliquely downwards during room heating with the damper tilted and, furthermore, installing the main body of an indoor unit at one corner in the room. CONSTITUTION:During room cooling an indoor heat exchanger 21 works as an evaporator so that the air that flows in from a suction port 18 passes through the indoor heat exchanger 21 and reaches an indoor blower 23 as cold wind. At this time a damper 25 is positioned horizontally to blow out the cold wind that is blown out laterally from an air discharge port 19 so that the air is circulated to the lower section of the inside 8 of the room. On the other hand during room heating, the damper 25 is positioned tiltedly and the air that flows in from the suction port 18 passes through the indoor heat exchanger 21 which acts as a condenser to become warm air and is blown out downwards from an air discharge port 20 as the air that is blown out of an indoor blower 23 is led to the damper 25. As a result, the air that is blown out from the main body 12 that is installed at a corner section 9 is distributed in a wide angle with respect to the room 8.
