CONSTITUTION:A laser beam 1 transmitted to a machining head 2 is condensed by a machining lens 3. At the same time with this, the machining gas consisting of the mixed gas of argon gas with 5-50% oxygen gas is used in the machining head 2 and blown against the Al material 6 of a work through an opening part of a nozzle 5 to perform the laser beam cutting. The laser beam cutting of the Al material with the high quality with little dross stuck is made possible up to a considerablly thick plate by utilizing the heat by the combustion reaction of the mixed oxygen gas at that time.
