Claims (1)
プ８および外周刃チツプ９がそれぞれ配置される
とともに、この中心刃チツプ８および外周刃チツ
プ９には、工具本体２の直径方向で正面切刃稜１
６，２２がそれぞれ形成され、また工具本体２の
軸方向で外周切刃稜１７，２３がそれぞれ形成さ
れるようにしたスローアウエイ式エンドミルにお
いて、 前記中心刃チツプ８は、１対の対角コーナー同
士では、正面切刃稜１６および外周切刃稜１７が
それぞれ直角関係にあり、この対角コーナーを基
準にしたときには、互に平行する非削稜１８を介
して回転対称関係にある６角形板状を呈しており
、また工具本体２のチツプ座６内に配置されたと
きに形成される切削回転軌跡では、回転中心付近
から始まる正面切刃稜１６および外周縁に位置す
る外周切刃稜１７間には、これらと互に交差関係
にある前記非削稜１８が傾斜するように位置する
とともに、この正面切刃稜１６が外周刃チツプ９
の正面切刃稜２２よりも工具本体２の軸方向で後
位にあつて回転中心付近から外周側に延びること
により、外周刃チツプ９の正面切刃稜２２とほヾ
中間直径域で交差することにより中凹の関係とな
り、また中心刃チツプ８の外周切刃稜１７が前記
非削稜１８の介在により、外周刃チツプ９の外周
切刃稜２３よりも後方に位置して外周刃チツプ９
の外周切刃稜２３と接続していることを特徴とす
