Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture the titled conveyance roller for annealing furnace excellent in wear resistant at high temp. and build up resistance, by thermally spraying a ZrO2-Al2O3-Cr2O3-Y2O3-type solid-solution material on a conveyance roller for high-temp. steel stock and forming a ceramics coating on the above roller.
CONSTITUTION: A ceramics coating is formed on a base material made of heat- resistant cast steel by a thermal spraying method by using a ZrO2-Al2O3-Cr2O3- Y2O3-type solid-solution material, by which a conveyance roller (hearth roller) for high-temp. steel stock in an annealing furnace is prepared. By this method, a ceramic coating excellent in adhesive strength to the base material, free from peeling, and having superior strength at high temp. can be obtained, by which the roller excellent in wear resistance at high temp. and build up resistance can be formed and the service life of the roller can be prolonged.
