Abstract

PURPOSE:To wipe out both sides of a tape at a time in its travel by displacing a guide means for a tape to be cleaned in such a way that a cleaning tape is positioned across the tape to be cleaned in a space between a 1st post and a 2nd post. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning tape 4 is guided by bringing its one side into contact with a post 3 and the other side into contact with a post 2, while the tape 5 to be cleaned is guided by bringing its one side into contact with the other side of the tape 4 at the post 3 and its other side into contact with one side of the tape 4 at the post 2. As a result, the tape 4 is brought under traveling state with its both sides being opposite to each other at the posts 2 and 3, so that the different side of the tape 5 is brought into contact with the different side of the tape 4. The guide means for that tape 5 is displaced by a displacement mechanism 6 to allow the tape 5 to be across the tape 4 within a space in between the posts 2 and 3. By this method, the tape 5 can be wiped out on both sides by traveling the tape 4 at a time.
