Abstract
PURPOSE: To smoothly switch the operation of an absorption refrigerating machine between cooling and heating and to stably operate the machine at the time of diluting an absorbent liquid when the machine is started by respectively installing variable discharge pressure pumps to flow passages for refrigerant, thin absorbent liquid, and thick absorbent liquid and providing a controller with timer for controlling the discharge pressures of the pumps. CONSTITUTION: In a cooling cycle, for example, a high-temperature heat-source fluid is made to flow to a heater 9 and cooling water is made to flow to a heat exchanger 10 and a cooler 11, and then, water is made to flow to the heat exchanger 12 of an evaporator E as a fluid to be cooled. When the operation of an absorption refrigerating machine is started, the pressure PE of the group of an evaporator E and an absorber A starts to become lower than the pressure PC of the group of a generator G and a condenser C. While the machine shifts to a steady state after the machine is started for cooling, a controller CO controls the discharge pressure of a pump PL for thin absorbent liquid to increase and, on the other hand, the discharge pressures of a pump PH for thick absorbent liquid and a pump PR for refrigerant to decrease following the time schedule of a timer T correspondingly to the pressure difference (PC-PE) which gradually becomes larger with time. Therefore, the rising performance of the absorption refrigerating machine can be improved when the machine is started by maintaining smooth stable circulation of the coolant and absorbent liquid by balancing the going-out and going-in amounts of liquids among equipment with each other.
