Abstract

PURPOSE: To aim at abatement in a signal leakage due to magnetic coupling between circuits in a casing by installing each terminal connected to each contact spring via a connecting line, respectively, on a circumferential surface of the casing, and surround the circumference of an important spot ranging from the terminal to a tip of the contact spring with a magnetic shield member consisting of a magnetic substance.
CONSTITUTION: A modular insert 2 being installed in a casing 1 as corresponding to a plug insert port 11 is provided with plural pieces of contact springs 22, and this spring 22 is made elastically contact with a contact maker of the modular plug inserted into the casing 1 through the plug insert port 11, electrically connecting the modular plug to a modular jack. A body 21 of the insert 2 is formed with ferrite, and on one side of this insert body 21, there is provided with an introducing hole 23 for introducing a connecting line 3 to be connected to each contact spring 22. Thus, since the insert body 21 is formed with the ferrite or magnetic substance, a magnetic field to be produced around the contact spring 22 and the connecting line 3 is in no case leaked to the outside, thus magnetic coupling between lines is prevented from occurring.
