Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to manufacture a container having a thick and broad flange by a method wherein a resin well, which corresponds to the flange part of the flanged container to be molded, is provided on a vertically movable bottom force and a parison, which is supplied in between the bottom force and top forces, is blow-molded. CONSTITUTION:Under the state that top forces 1 and a bottom force 3 are apart from each other, a parison 4 is lowered divergently so as to locate the lower part of the parison 4 above an annularly grooved resin well 3b, which is formed around a resin retaining core 3a at the center of the bottom force 1. Next, a pair of the top forces 1 are brought into contact with each other and simultaneously the bottom force 2 is raised so as to bring into contact with the lower parts of the top forces 1 in order to form the flange part 6a of a container 6 by bringing the lower part of the parison 4 locating in the resin well 3b into contact with the undersides of the top forces 1. At the same time, air is blown into the parison 4 in the top and bottom forces 1 and 2 in order to form the side part and bottom part of the container out of the parson 4 in the top force 1. As a result, the container 6 having a thick and broad flange 6a can be obtained.
