Abstract

PURPOSE:To control suction speed in the optimum range and to enable suction- casting for the casting product without any casting defect by controlling pressing force of a chiller to a mold in accordance with reducing pressure degree in a product cavity. CONSTITUTION:After adjusting the flow rate control valve 42 to the prescribed flow rate, hydraulic pressure cylinder 36 is worked and the prescribed pressing force is beforehand applied to the chiller 28 through a pressing rod 34. Under this condition, the pressure in the product cavity 24 is reduced 44 through gap 50 of contacting surface between a mold 18 and the chiller 28. When a pressure gate 48 shows the prescribed valve, the sprue 22 in the mold 18 is dipped into molten metal 12.
