Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the control of liberation of a core material in water by forming microcapsules by coating the periphery of a core material having 5-00mum particle size with a mixture having 0.1-10mum thickness consisting of a lipid and a protein. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of a lipid and a protein is dissolved in a mixed solvent consisting of an org. solvent and water. The surface of particles of a core material is coated by causing selective deposition of the lipid and the protein on the surface of the particles by wetting the core material with the soln. at <=45 deg.C. Microcapsules are produced by removing the solvent. Preferred org. solvents are polar solvents miscible with water, such as methanol, acetone, etc. Obtd. microcapsules are single core microcapsules comprising a core material having 5-500mum particle size coated with a mixture having 0.1-10mum thickness and consisting of a lipid and a protein.
