Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve quick charge characteristic by charging, after assembling a battery, first at a large current followed by a low current. CONSTITUTION:A battery after being assembled is first charged at a large current such as 0.5-1.5C at temperatures of a room or higher at a rate of about 30% of the battery capacity followed by charging at a normal current such as 0.1-0.5C at a temperature higher than room temperature. Discharge after the charge may be made either at the room temperature or higher. Further, normal charge and discharge are repeated at least two times. Furthermore, a cadmium pole is not only treated with fluorine resin but also formed with conductive porous body.
