Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the manufacturing process of a battery by combining a series of negative plates to positive plates which have been cut, bent and cured in advance to make a cluster of electrode plates immediately followed by the battery assembly and cell forming, thereby making the negative plate curing unnecessary. CONSTITUTION:Separators 4 are attached to both sides of an expanded electrode plate 3 filled with a negative plate paste and fixed with a thermoplastic resin. The material prepared is made into a battery by combining to positive plates which have been cured in advance but not subjected to forming and is immediately undergoes forming. This makes it possible to handle the negative plate immediately after it is filled with the paste, simplify the battery manufacturing process by totally eliminating the negative plate curing process, and make the lead- acid battery light-weight and high-performance as it is easy to make the electrode plate thin and light-weight and to obtain a battery of a small internal resistance.
