USE:Useful as an activity inhibitor against angiotensin converting enzyme or an antihypertensive and also useful for treating glaucoma and congestive heart failure showing durability for a long period of time. PREPARATION:A compound shown by formula II (X is Cl; n is 4 or 5; Y is protecting group) is reacted with a compound shown by formula III (R2 is H or protecting group) and deprotected to give a compound shown by formula I.
