Abstract

CONSTITUTION:At least the contact serving as cathode between a pair of a fixed contact 16 and a movable contact 20a arranged face to face, e.g., movable contact 20a, is formed with the first metal material 20e with large thermal conductivity, and its outer periphery is covered with the second metal material 20d with a high melting point. The loss energy due to the thermal conduction in the contact 20a serving as cathode is thereby increased and the loss energy due to the evaporation of the contact material can be reduced, the consumption of the contact is suppressed, and a long life and high reliability can be obtained.
