A laminated tape with an adhesive layer for the sheath on one side is used. The water-blocking layer is constructed by placing the laminate tape vertically on the cable core with the sheathing adhesive layer facing outward, and then extrusion-covering the vinyl chloride or polyethylene sheath. .

There are some disadvantages. On the other hand, laminated tapes using aluminum foil as the metal foil do not have the disadvantages of those using lead foil because aluminum has excellent bending fatigue properties, but aluminum has poor plastic deformability and its strain at break is small. Therefore, there is a disadvantage that cracks are likely to occur in the aluminum foil due to significant cable bending during cable wiring. Regarding the occurrence of such cracks, it is advantageous to use lead foil as the metal foil because lead has a large strain at break.

No improvements have been made to the laminated tape.

When used as a cable water-shielding layer, even if cracks occur in each metal foil, the causes of the occurrence are different (one It is practically impossible for these cracks to occur at the same location (on the one hand, repeated distortion due to offset, and on the other hand, distortion caused by a small number of cycles during cable extension). This is because the cooperation between foil and aluminum foil can almost certainly guarantee this.

The aluminum foil, which has excellent bending fatigue properties, can reliably maintain its water-shielding properties against strain, while the lead foil, which has a large strain at break, can protect against excessive cable bending during cable extension. Can reliably maintain water-based properties. Therefore, according to the laminate tape according to the present invention, reliable and stable water-blocking properties can be imparted to the cable.
