Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled beads, consisting of methyl methacrylate, acrylonitrile and other monomers in a specific proportion and useful as an antiblocking agent, lubricant, organic pigment, diagnostic agent, carrier for immobilized enzymes, chromatographic packings, etc. CONSTITUTION:The aimed polymer beads consisting of (A) 36-85wt.%, preferably 40-79.5wt.% methyl methacrylate, (B) 15-64wt.%, preferably 20-59.5wt.% acrylonitrile and (C) 0-49wt.%, preferably 1-10wt.% other monomers [e.g. vinyl chloride, (meth)acrylic acid or vinyl acetate].
