Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to form cyan images having excellent hue and light resistance, by recording on a recording sheet provided with an ink- absorbing layer by using an inkjet recording liquid containing an indoaniline coloring matter and an organic solvent capable of dissolving particulates of an organic high molecular weight material. CONSTITUTION:A recording sheet is used which is provided with an ink- absorbing layer comprising particulates of an organic high molecular weight material on the surface of a base. The recording sheet is recorded in an ink jet recording liquid containing an indoaniline coloring matter and an organic solvent capable of dissolving, at least partly, the particulates of the organic material. The indoaniline coloring matter is preferably a compound of the formula, wherein each of R1-R3 is H, an alkyl, alkyloxyl, aryl, halogen or the like, R4 is H, an alkyl, alkoxyl or halogen, and each of R5 and R6 is an alkyl. The solvent may be ethanol, pentanol, heptanol, octanol or the like. The high molecular weight organic material may be a vinyl resin, a styrene resin, an acrylic resin or the like.
