Abstract

PURPOSE: To restrain reduction in the riding comfort and reduce rolling resistance by having a breaker composed of both a 1st belt body comprising a plural number of plies and a 2nd belt body comprising an aromatic polyamide fibre cord placed via an intermediary rubber.
CONSTITUTION: A breaker 8 is composed of a 1st belt body 7 placed along a carcass 5 on the outside of the carcass 5, an intermediary rubber 9 placed on the outside thereof, and a 2nd belt body 10. Furthermore, the 1st belt body 7 is composed of multiple layers 6a, 6c consisting of a low extensional cord such as a metal cord. The intermediary rubber 9, which uses rubber of such a high hardness and low hysteresis as against a rubber layer 17d, is provided in nearly uniform thickness in the direction of tire width. The 2nd belt body 10 is formed of an aromatic polyamide such as kepler and placed slantingly so as to form a light angle against the equatorial face C of the tire. This constitution secures the compression rigidity of a tread rubber portion, the riding comfort, and reduction in rolling resistance.
