Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the mounting efficiency, and reduce customers' loss, by performing an attitude correcting operation for components, when the result of component judgement shows mounting failure, although normal components are held. CONSTITUTION:Components are retained in the manner of vacuum suction by a nozzle 6, and transferred from a component supplying part 2 to an attitude control parts 4a, 4b. According to the kind of components, the attitude control part 4a or 4b is selected. Centering is performed by a cam mechanism directly connected to the rotating shaft of a parts-transferring part 1, and angle-setting is done. In this manner, the components whose attitude is controlled are transferred and mounted on a component detection parts 5, and the following are detected; whether the attitude of components deviates from an normal state or not, and whether an abnormal state such as drop-out of components exists or not. The components judged to be normal after the detection are transferred to a mounting position, and mounted on a specified position of a printed wiring board. When attitude abnormality occurs in the component detection part, drop-out of components is firstly checked and, in the case of drop-out, the process enters skip operation. In the case where parts exist and attitude is abnormal, the attitude is corrected by an attitude correction mechanism 7, and detection operation is again repeated.
