Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniformize pressurized contact force over a longitudinal direction by conveying a sheet-like material to be fixed by means of a heat fixing roller and pressurized contact sliding member. CONSTITUTION:The heat fixing roller 1 has a heating source 2 in the central part and is rotationally drivably supported by a bottom plate 5. The pressurized contact sliding member 3 is supported freely oscillatably with a pressurizing plate shaft 17 as a supporting plate and is brought into pressurized contact with the roller 1 under the prescribed pressure by a pressurizing spring 4 supported to the bottom plate 5, by which said member is brought into pressurized contact uniformly with the outside peripheral face of the rotationally driven roller 1 over the longitudinal direction thereof. While the sheet-shaped material 20 to be fixed is brought into pressurized contact with the rotationally driven roller 1 by the member 3 and is thereby conveyed, the material is subjected to the pressurized heat fixing. The pressurized contact force is thereby uniformized over the longitudinal direction, by which the stable fixing performance is obtd. with the small-sized device.
