Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of moire fringes by means of a device of simple and inexpensive constitution by vibrating the eye contact side end part of an image guide in a direction roughly perpendicular to an optical axis with the aid of a drive signal at a frequency in response to a period when electric charges of each image elements for a solid-state image pickup element are accumulated. CONSTITUTION:By the use of a bimorph 15, the eye contact end part of the image guide covering the insertion part of an endoscope 11 and the eye contact part 13 through an operating part 12 is vibrated in the direction roughly perpendicular to the optical axis. The bimorph 14 is installed in the direction of the optical axis, and its one end is surely fixed to the fixing member 13a of the eye contact part 1, and the other end is surely fixed to the base 14a of the eye contact side end part of the image guide 14. Since information on the period when electric charges of each image element comprising the solid-state image pickup element 17 are accumulated is obtained from a camera 18 through a camera information detecting circuit, a bimorph drive circuit is operated at the frequency in response to said information to give vibration to the eye contact end part of the image guide. The simple, inexpensive constitution can prevent the occurrence of moire fringes.
