Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the activity lowering state of an immobilized enzyme membrane, in a biosensor wherein a physiologically active substance is immobilized in the surfaces of substrate electrodes, by providing a current detecting means for detecting the supply current between the substrate electrodes at the time of non-measurement. CONSTITUTION:A current-voltage converting resistor 10 is connected to a current-voltage converting operational amplifier 9 and a diode 11 is connected between a reversal input terminal 9a and a non-reversal input terminal 9b. The reversal input terminal 9a is connected to an acting electrode 2 and an opposed electrode 3 is connected to an inverse bias supply terminal 12 through a resistor 13. The output from the constant voltage source 6 is divided to be connected to the non-reversal input terminal to constitute a bias supply circuit. By connecting an output terminal 9c to a concn. measuring operation part 24 and an active state discriminating comparing circuit 23 through a change-over switch 22, an active state can be discriminated from the current flowing between forwardly biased electrodes by the comparing circuit.
