Abstract
PURPOSE:To cope with a large thermal load, cool or heat source water in a heat accumulating tank by midnight electric power, save the use of power and equalize the use of the power, by a method wherein the heat source water in the heat accumulating tank is supplied to a water-to-air heat exchanger and the water-to-refrigerant heat exchanger of a heat pump. CONSTITUTION:Heat source water in a heat accumulating tank 1, which is conditioned to the cool water or the hot-water of a proper temperature by a heat source such as an air-cooled heat pump chiller 2 or the like, is supplied to and circulated through a heat pump unit 5 and a water-to-air heat exchanger 7 by a pump 6 and a fan 8 is operated. When cold water is employed as the supplying heat source water, cool air is obtained and when hot-water is employed, warm-air is obtained. When the heat source water, whose amount is controlled through proportional control, for example, is supplied to the water-to-refrigerant heat exchanger 9, the cooling or heating operation of the heat pump 5 is effected, the fan of the refrigerant-to-air heat exchanger 10 is driven and cool air and warm-air, which are generated by the water- to-air heat exchanger 6 and the refrigerant-to-air heat exchanger 10, are used simultaneously, the title air-conditioning system may cope with a heavy load. The heat source water in the heat accumulating tank 1 is cooled or heated to a proper temperature by using midnight electric power.
