Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically print a character or pattern on a cake or the like using a viscous substance on the basis of a character or illustration, by mounting a computer for controlling the opening and closing of each emitting port corresponding to the read data of a sensor part and controlling the rotation of the motors of Xand Y-axes in accordance with printing operation. CONSTITUTION:A sensor part 1 wherein a large number of reading elements 2 are arranged in plural rows is fixed to one end of a moving frame body 3 and a large number of emitting nozzles 4 are mounted to the other end of said frame body 3 corresponding to the reading elements 2 of the sensor part 1 and a tank 5 is arranged in the direction crossing the nozzles 4 at a right angle. As the moving means of the moving frame body 3, an X-axis motor 13 and a Y-axis motor 14 are arranged and a printing head part consisting of the sensor part 1 and the emitting nozzles 4 is moved in intergral relation to the moving frame body 3. A viscous substance is emitted to the surface 12 of a material to be printed from the nozzles 4 and a computer rotates the motors 13, 14 on the basis of the reading due to the sensor part 1 at each time when one printing operation in the printing head part is finished to move the sensor part 1 and the printing head part by a predetermined distance in the X-axis or Y-axis direction and printing operation is made intermittent to print the character or pattern according to a manuscript.
