  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 筒状のフエルールの中心部に光フアイバの一端
    を挿入固定して成るエレメントをハウジングに設
    けた保持穴内に挿入すると共に、 該ハウジングにエレメント保持部材を取付けて
    、 このエレメント保持部材により前記エレメント
    をその先部がハウジングの先端面より突出するよ
    うに保持する光コネクタのエレメント保持構造に
    おいて、 前記保持穴と直交する方向に向けた係止穴を前
    記ハウジングの後部に設け、 前記エレメント保持部材は、弾性を有する筒体
    の先端外周に前記係止穴と対応する突起を形成す
    ると共に、該筒体にその全長にわたる割溝を設け
    て径を変化し得る構造とし、 このエレメント保持部材をその径を縮めて前記
    保持穴の後部に挿入すると共に、エレメント保持
    部材自身の弾性復旧力により前記突起を前記係止
    穴に嵌合係止させることを特徴とする光コネクタ
    のエレメント保持構造。
