Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve workability by providing a closing cap on an upper part, opening the upper part and a first cylinder part under which a space part and a through hole with small diameter are provided and having a second cylinder part under which the bottom part having a through hole with small diameter is provided. CONSTITUTION:A drum part 31 of a shield cask 22 is carefully filled with shield material 33 so as to be cylindrical and form a space part 32 in the center thereof. The space part 32 is open in the upper part thereof and communicates with the outside by means of a through hole 34 in the lower part thereof. A cylinder 38 is detachably fitted, the upper part thereof is open, and a bottom part 40 at which a through hole 39 is provided in the lower part thereof is fixed. When a reactor is stopped, the shield cask 22 and a take-up motion 23 are set on a CRD exchange platform 21 and a wire of the take-up motion 23 is inserted in the through hole 34 in the bottom part of the shield cask 22, penetrated in the inside of the cylinder 38 and connected to the lower end of a cable 17 of a wide range monitor WRNM. When the cable 17 is taken up, a detector part is drawn from a dry tube and housed in the inside of the cylinder 38. Therefore, the WRNM is not necessary to be removed on the upper side of a reactor pressure vessel.
