ツク軸2の摺動ストロークを規制しており、前記
ギヤハウジング1は軽合金ダイカスト製の複雑な
形状部分4とここに一端を鋳ぐるみされて突出し
たインサートパイプ5とから成る。このインサー
トパイプ5は道路上の石などの衝突によりへこみ
等を生じる恐れがあり、そのへこみ等が生じても
ラツク軸2に干渉しないようにラツク軸2との隙
間を充分に設けることから、大きい径のものが使
用されている。ところで第2図に示す如く前記ギ
ヤハウジング1は、鋳抜孔6をインサートパイプ
5と連なるように抜き勾配を有する引抜中子によ
つて形成しており、この引抜中子はその先端面を
インサートパイプの端面に圧接して湯切りを行な
つているので、十分な接触面積を確保することが
必要であり、鋳抜孔6のインサートパイプ端面に
おける内口径D1を少なくともインサートパイプ
5の外径以上にしなければならなかつた。又、引
抜中子の焼付を防ぐために、前記抜き勾配は小さ
くすることができず、鋳抜孔6のギヤハウジング
端面7における開口径D2が内口径D1に比べてさ
らに拡がつている。このようにギヤハウジング端
面7における開口径D2が大きいと、前記ストツ
パー部材3が防塵ブーツ8との干渉を防ぐため外
径を制限されているので、ストツパー部材3のギ
ヤハウジング端部7との接触部分が軸心から遠ざ
かり、前記ストツパー部材3にかかる曲げモーメ
ントが大きくなり、ストツパー部材3が曲がり易
くなる。又、ストツパー部材3とギヤハウジング
端面7との突き当り面積が小さくなり、ギヤハウ
ジングは比較的軟いアルミニユウム合金のダイカ
スト鋳造により形成されているものであり、又前
記ストツパー部材とギヤハウジング端面とは反復
的に衝撃的に衝突するものであるから前記突き当
り面積が小さいと前記ストツパー部材3が前記ギ
ヤハウジング端面7にくい込み易くなる。このよ
うに、ストツパー部材が曲がり易く、ギヤハウジ
ング端面にくい込み易いということから、ラツク
