Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent piping from breaking due to expansion caused by the icing of water within the piping and to reduce the power consumption of a valve, by controlling the valve and a fan motor according to temperatures detected by both a heat exchanger temperature sensor and a room temperature sensor. CONSTITUTION:When an operation switch is on, a control base plate 8 discriminates whether or not room temperatures detected by a room temperature sensor 7 are lower than a predetermined temperature, and in case of YES, a valve 1 is turned off and opened to pass hot water through a hot water circuit 3, while a fan motor 6 is turned on to blow air to a heat exchanger 2 for hot water, thus carrying out heating operation. In case of NO, while the fan motor 6 is turned off, the control base plate 8 discriminates whether or not heat exchanger temperatures detected by a temperature sensor 5 for the heat exchanger are higher than a predetermined temperature of the heat exchanger, and in case of YES, the valve 1 is turned on and closed to shut off the flow of hot water into the hot water circuit 3. When an anti-icing system is applied, the valve 1 is in an off and open state because the operation switch is off and a heat source machine 13 is not operated to heat water. Accordingly, when external air temperatures fall below the freezing point and a pump 12 operates automatically by means of the anti-icing system, the valve 1 is always in an open state.
