Conventionally, in refrigerators, a frame made of a heat insulating material is interposed between the opening edge of a box-shaped freezer compartment cooler and the front opening edge of the main box, and the cooling for the freezer compartment is The outer periphery of the container and frame is filled with a heat insulating material to prevent condensation caused by warm air entering when the freezer compartment is opened and closed, thereby preventing freezing from forming around the opening of the freezer compartment. In this type of refrigerator, joining flanges are formed on the opening edge of the freezer compartment cooler and the connecting edge of the frame, respectively, and these flanges are sandwiched by a cross-sectional connector to connect them. I was trying to connect them.

However, with the above-mentioned conventional type, there is a problem that when defrosting a freezer compartment cooler, the defrosted water that collects at the inner bottom of the refrigerator enters the connector due to capillary phenomenon, and then seeps out from the connector toward the frame and freezes there. In addition, when the insulation material is foamed, there is a risk that the insulation material may leak from the connection between the freezer cooler and the frame, and conventionally, sealing tape must be used, and the work of applying it is troublesome. It was hot.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. First, in FIG. 1 showing the upper part of the refrigerator, 1 is an outer box, and a freezer compartment cooler 2 with a freezer compartment 2a inside is disposed in the upper part of the outer box. is shaped like a rectangular box with an open front. Reference numeral 3 denotes a frame made of a heat insulating material, for example, plastic, which is integrally formed at the upper end of an inner box 5 whose inside is a refrigerating chamber 4. The left, right and upper parts of the frame 3 are As can be seen from Figure 1, it is fitted and clamped to the opening edge of the outer box 1, and the rear edge of the frame 3 and the opening edge of the freezer compartment cooler 2 are connected as follows. That is, as shown in FIG. 2, an arch-shaped rising part 6 is formed at the lower part of the opening edge of the freezer compartment cooler 2, and the left and right parts excluding the lower part of the opening edge are formed. A substantially straight collar portion 7 (FIG. 1) is formed at the upper portion. On the other hand, at the lower part of the connecting edge with the freezer compartment cooler 2 in the frame 3, an arched rising part 8 is formed like the above-mentioned rising part 6, and the left side excluding the lower part of the connecting end,
A substantially straight collar portion 9 (FIG. 1) is formed on the right and upper portions. 10 is a connecting frame, the lower part of which is connected to the front and rear walls 10a, 10b and the intermediate wall 10.
It is formed in a substantially square shape in cross section with a diameter c, and two fitting recesses 11,
12 is formed as a partition. However, the protrusion lengths of the rear wall portion 10b, intermediate wall portion 10c, and front wall portion 10a are formed to become shorter in that order.
Further, as can be seen from FIG. 1, the left, right and upper portions of the connecting frame 10 are formed into a substantially L-shaped cross section with a front wall portion 10a. As shown in FIG. 2, the rising portion 6 of the freezer compartment cooler 2 and the rising portion 8 of the frame 3 are press-fitted into the fitting recesses 11 and 12 of the connecting frame 10, respectively, and as shown in FIG. As shown, the flange 7 of the freezer compartment cooler 2 and the flange 9 of the frame 3 are in a superposed state,
They are held by claws 14 formed in the connecting frame 10, so that the freezer compartment cooler 2 and the frame 3 are connected to the connecting tool 1.
Connected by 0. Here, since the rising portion 6 of the freezer compartment cooler 2 is press-fitted into the fitting recess 11 of the connecting frame 10 as described above, the base end of the arched rising portion 6 is located at the rear wall. 10b, and the tip end is pressed against the intermediate wall portion 10c. On the other hand, the rising portion 8 of the frame body 3 is similarly
Its base end is pressed against the intermediate wall 10c, and its distal end is pressed against the front wall 10a. In contrast to the above, 15 is a foam insulation material, which is the outer box 1.
The insulation material 15 is injected and foamed between the freezer cooler 2, the frame 3, and the inner box 5. That is, the insulation material 15 is filled around the outer periphery of the freezer cooler 2 and the frame 3. ing. This heat insulating material 15 is also filled between the upright portion 6 of the freezer compartment cooler 2 and the intermediate wall portion 10c of the connecting frame 10 without any gap.

Now, in the above configuration, when the freezer compartment cooler 2 is defrosted, the defrosting water may accumulate at the bottom of the freezer compartment cooler 2. However, in the case of this embodiment, the intermediate wall portion 10c and the riser Since the insulation material 15 is filled between the intermediate wall portion 10c and the rising portion 6, the insulation material 15 is in close contact with the intermediate wall portion 10c and the rising portion 6, so that a reliable water sealing effect can be obtained.
Therefore, even if water enters the connecting frame 10 due to capillary action, there will be no inconvenience such as the water leaking to the frame body 3 side. Further, both the rising portions 6 and 8 are formed in an arched shape, and the rising portions 6 and 8
are press-fitted into the two fitting recesses 11 and 12 of the connecting frame 10, respectively, so that the respective rising parts 6 and 8 are brought into pressure contact with the respective walls 10a, 10b and 10c of the connecting frame 10, so that the filling of the heat insulating material 15 is easy. At times, it is possible to reliably prevent leakage of the heat insulating material 15 and eliminate the need for sealing tape, etc.
0 can be firmly connected without rattling. Furthermore, since the rear wall portion 10b, intermediate wall portion 10c, and front wall portion 10a of the connecting frame 10 are shortened in that order, the rising portions 6 of the freezer compartment cooler 2 are inserted into the fitting recesses 11 and 12 of the connecting frame 10, respectively. And the assembly work of sequentially fitting the rising portions 8 of the frame body 3 can be simplified.

In the above embodiment, a portion having a substantially square cross section is formed at the bottom of the connecting frame 10, but this portion can achieve the intended purpose if it is located at least in the bottom, and therefore the round portion is Although it is assumed to be located at the bottom of the frame 10, it may also be located at the left, right, or top.

As is clear from the above description, the present invention ensures that even if defrost water accumulates at the bottom of the freezer cooler during defrosting, the water will not leak into the frame. In addition, it is possible to reliably prevent leakage of insulation material from the connection frame portion without the need for conventional sealing tape, etc., thereby reducing the number of parts and simplifying assembly. This provides excellent effects such as the ability to firmly connect the indoor cooler and the frame without rattling.
