The fabric edge 1a can be automatically folded in half. table 6
The facing cloth 1 can also be automatically stacked on the upper surface of the pocket cloth 3 set above, with the cloth end 1a folded in half. Then, the pocket cloth 3 and the facing cloth 1 can be automatically positioned and guided at the needle drop point P by the guide member. There, the operator only needs to set the pocket cloth 3 on the table 6 and the facing cloth 1 on the temporary fixing member A, respectively. Therefore.

4th step The temporary fixing member A moves to the right from the state shown in FIG.
After the flat plate part 7 to the temporary fixing member is pulled out from the groove 13 of the folding member B as shown by the solid line in the figure, the temporary fixing member A and the folding member B are returned to the original standby position as shown by the imaginary line in the figure. At the end of the sixth step, the guide member moves backward on the sewing machine table 6 as shown in FIG. With this, the pocket cloth 3 and the covering cloth 1 move on the table 6 together with the guide member, and the needle drop point P shown in FIG. 17 and is sewn onto the pocket cloth 3. By setting the movement locus of the guide member in advance, the seam 4 runs in a straight line or in a curved line at a position close to the folded edge 2, and the folded edge 2 and the seam 4 at that time The distance between them is always constant in the long plane direction.

In addition, the pocket cloth 3 and the pocket cloth 1 are often sewn together with a certificate stamp (including cloth) interposed therebetween in actual implementation. In that case, 1. For example, as shown in FIG. 4, a stamp supply block 19 is separately attached to the sewing machine body 5, the stamps are held one by one in this block 19, and after the fourth step described above is completed, the block 19 is is moved to feed the certificate stamps from the left side to the sewing position, and after simultaneously pressing the certificate stamps with the guide member, the block 19 is returned to its original standby position.
