Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a protective sheet which allows adherent surfaces to be three-dimensionally decorated simply and easily, by removing a release paper from an adhesive-coated surface on one side of a support sheet and sticking many non-rigid synthetic resin plates at intervals on said surface. CONSTITUTION:A wooden pattern is formed which has many recessed parts having the same shape as that of plate members 2 and a depth equal to or shallower than the thickness of the plate member 2 spaced away from one another by gaps serving as joints, and a large plane having a size equal to or corresponding to that of a support sheet 3. The plate members 2, 2... are placed on the recessed parts upside down. One release paper 4 on the support sheet 3 is peeled to expose an adhesive (4)-coated surface. When the adhesive (4)-coated layer is pressed against the upper surface of the wooden pattern, the rear sides of many plate members 2 are stuck on the adhesive (4)-coated surface to integrate the plate members 2, 2... and the support sheet 3. The support sheet 3 is separated from the wooden pattern and pressed by means of a press to fix each plate material 2 firmly to the support sheet 3.

However, in the conventional method of decoration by pasting decorative and protective sheets such as wallpaper, wallpaper is sold at ordinary retail stores and is easy to obtain, and anyone can use it relatively easily. Although it has the advantage of being able to be applied to a wide range of areas, it does not give the finished product a three-dimensional effect, and it cannot be expected to have any effect in terms of protecting the wall surface.

On the other hand, the construction of bricks, decorative panels, etc. that can form three-dimensional decorative patterns is not easy.
Since it requires specialized skills, it cannot be done easily by anyone, and there are problems such as the cost of construction increases.

That is, the present invention uses a support sheet in which adhesive is applied to both sides of a sheet member and each adhesive-coated surface is protected with a release paper, and IMi! on one side of this support sheet is used. By removing the I1 paper and pasting a large number of plate-like members made of soft synthetic resin molded into a predetermined shape on the resulting adhesive-coated surface while maintaining the intervals between these plate-like members, This is a method for producing a decorative and protective sheet, characterized in that joints are formed in the sheet.

The support sheet used in this invention is made by coating adhesive on both sides of a sheet member, and pasting release paper on the adhesive-coated surfaces on both sides to protect the adhesive-coated surfaces from adhesion.1 For example, double-sided adhesive Items such as tapes that are simply made of an adhesive (adhesive) without a support cannot be used in the method of the present invention for reasons described below.

The plate member to be attached to one side of the support sheet is made of a soft synthetic resin material and molded into a desired shape. There are products that are obtained by injection molding of thermoplastic synthetic resins containing additives, products that are obtained by cast molding, and products that are obtained by punching sheet-like soft synthetic resins, and their shapes and colors vary. There are no particular restrictions on the thickness, but if it is too thin, it will not have cushioning properties and will not serve as a protection; if it is too thick, the cushioning properties will improve, but
Since workability deteriorates when adhering to an adhering surface such as a corner, a range of about 1 to 3 cranes is preferable.

Furthermore, when the decorative and protective sheet obtained according to the present invention is used in relatively high temperature and high humidity areas 2, such as bathrooms and washrooms, it is desirable to apply anti-mildew treatment to the plate-shaped member. Anti-mold treatment can be easily achieved by mixing and kneading inorganic anti-mold agents such as arsenite and suboxide steel, which are known as anti-mold agents for synthetic resin products, various organic sulfur compounds, phenolic compounds, etc. However, it is also possible to apply or impregnate the surface of the plate member with an anti-mold agent.

When attaching plate-like members to a support sheet, the plate-like members are not attached in close contact and aligned, but rather the plate-like members are attached with a slight distance between them to close the joints. However, since it is provided to act as a joint part during use and to facilitate the insertion of cutters and scissors when separating and using each plate-like member, at least a groove corresponding to such openings is provided. It is preferable to set it as width.

The adhesive of the support sheet is directly exposed at this joint area, and when a Mi layer is applied to the decorative protective sheet during transportation or storage, problems such as the adhesive adhering to other decorative protective sheets occur. It is desirable to dissolve the adhesion of the adhesive-applied surface that appears at the joints by scattering a powder substance such as white cement powder, thereby making handling easier.

It should be noted that if the sheet member 6 is not used and is simply pasted with adhesive as described above, for example, if this is applied to a vertical wall, all or part of it will slide down due to the weight of the decorative and protective sheet. This drawback makes it unsuitable for use.

The method for manufacturing the decorative and protective sheet of the invention described above is as follows:
Adhesive was applied to both sides of the support sheet, and each coated surface was protected with release paper. One release paper of the laminated sheet was removed, and a large number of soft synthetic resins were applied to the adhesive-coated surface at appropriate intervals. By pasting plate-like members, a decorative and protective sheet having a desired joint width between adjacent plate-like members can be easily and inexpensively manufactured. 7 again. The obtained decorative and protective sheet can be made by simply peeling off the other release paper left as is and pasting it on the adhered area, and then attaching the adhered area to the joint area to an appropriate thickness. By working with the plate-like member, it is beautifully decorated with an appropriate three-dimensional effect, and since the plate-like member serves as a cushioning material, it can be reliably protected. Therefore, by using this decorative and protective sheet, a three-dimensional wall surface or the like can be simply and easily applied to a desired area even with the skill of a one-day process.
